The six-unit BTEC First Diploma offers a specialist vocational qualification that focuses on preparing students for employment within the health and social care sector.  The six units are very varied and cover a wide range of issues that are relevant to the sector, for example, human development, health and safety, communication and diversity.  The course also offers the opportunity for students to complete a work experience placement in a setting of their choice.  The course offers an engaging programme of study that is assessed in a number of ways.
