Building Schools for the Future

Gateway Building handed over to Southfields Academy:

Our much anticipated move into the new Gateway building has taken place.  Students and staff are enjoying their new learning / teaching environment, the spacious refectory and our state of the art library facilities.  We are now all looking forward to phase two!

Below is a graphic representation showing how close to the architects' drawings the building actually is!

Gateway building Topping Out Ceremony.  Southfields welcomed senior members of the Lendlease team and Cllr. Kathy Tracey to the "Topping Out" ceremony held recently to symbolise the fact that the core structure of the building is completed and as is traditional a plant was dedicated to symbolise growth and good luck!

The contractors Lendlease and the team from Wandsworth and staff at Southfields like to keep the most important people in this process up to date and
involved on its progress so below are a selection of recent newsletters.

While there may be a few changes to get used to and remarkably few inconveniences to get around, the staff and the students have risen to the challenge.
